Cougars
Sir, – In his review of Coyote Valley (May 20) Mark Abley says, of the growing population of moose, “In the absence of natural predators such as wolves . . .”. Just in case any of your readers are thinking of taking a walk in the Rocky Mountain National Park it might be helpful to point out that there are cougars there. If they aren’t much of a threat to the moose this may be because it is easier for them to go after pets and people: be careful!
