Greek Goddess

'Mythomania’
Sir, – Brigid Purcell wonders whether it is physically possible for “the love goddess” to be “staring over her shoulder at her beautiful buttocks”. If the (ordinary) ancient Greeks had mirrors, which they did, I’m sure a goddess could have laid her hands on one and stared at her buttocks therein for as long as she wished. On reflection, though, I would have thought a goddess would be able to do anything she damned well pleased, mirror or no.
