Guinness
“Is Guinness ‘Good for You’?” So starts Colin Grant’s review of Voices of Guinness (March 6). Many years ago, when Guinness still used that phrase in their advertising, I was having an argument with a friend about the power of advertising and said that everyone was influenced by it, to which my friend said that he wasn’t. I said “But you drink Guinness”. He replied that he didn’t drink it because it was advertised, he drank it because it was good for him.
